New Gallery and BAP8 Photos

We’re proud to announce that the new Gallery is live and includes photos from Bug-A-Palooza 8 as well as years past. This is quite the upgrade from our last gallery. It ties in with the sites aesthetic better and is much more user friendly.
Update: We have sent login info to all members via email. If you have not received your login info we may have an out of date email address for you. Please reach out to us at contact@harshwintersvw.com if you need your login info.
Please note that while the gallery is live it is still under development and there may be a bug here or there.

Congratulations to Tracy P of Chicago, IL! She was the winner of the Bug-A-Palooza 8 1965 Raffle Bug to benefit GiGi’s Playhouse Downs Syndrome Awareness Center of Fox Valley. Thank you to all those that contributed parts and hours of love to build the bug for such a great cause. With your help we we’re able to make a donation of $36,400 to GiGi’s Playhouse!

Bug-A-Palooza 8
We’ll folks, Bug-A-Palooza 8, August 28, 2011, is just upon us.
Bug-A-Palooza is Harsh Winters VW Club’s annual Volkswagen auto show hosted in Joliet, Illinois at D’Arcy Volkswagen 2521 West Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60435. With over 100 vehicles attending, numerous swap participants and activities for the whole family it has become the premier show in the northern Illinois VW community. All Volkswagens are welcome to the show. Participants will receive dash plaques and goody bags on a first come first serve basis.
Registration: 9am – 12pm, Awards 3pm
Fee: Registration $15/Vehicle, $15/Swap Space 10′x20′, Spectators Free
Free Show T-Shirt for the first 100 Registrants!
Proceeds from the event are donated to GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Awareness Centers.

Harsh Winters Volkswagen Club is holding a raffle for a rebuilt 1965 Sea Blau Volkswagen Beetle with all proceeds benefiting GiGi’s Playhouse Fox Valley, a Down syndrome awareness center. The winner of the Give Away will be announced on August 28, 2011 at Bug-A-Palooza 8 to be held at D’Arcy Volkswagen in Joliet, IL. Keep checking back for updates on the restoration progress and be sure to get your tickets for this great cause before time is up. A special thanks to all of the club members for their countless hours of work and companies who have donated parts.
